The Poway Invitational Field Tournament is a major fund raiser for the Poway High School Music Boosters. Money raised by this tournament helps pay for music clinicians, repair and replace instruments, and lowers band and orchestra fees.
The tournament will be held this year on Saturday October 11th. It is an all-day affair with setup starting in the early morning and continuing until cleanup at the end of the evening. In between, Poway High School is host to over 15 bands from all over San Diego County and points nearby, and over a thousand spectators enjoying the performances.
Thank you for helping with the tournament, it cannot happen without the support of volunteers like you.
Click on the jobs listed to the left to view a description of what
each job entails and the shift times we need volunteers for. All
shifts are on tournament day. Once you find a job and time you'd
like to help with, click on the
button. You will be prompted to create
a user profile and password. Later on, you can sign-in to view or
change your volunteer times.
Please consider volunteering for more than one job (or shift). Help is especially needed during the evening hours when we have the most visitors on campus.
Student volunteers: should sign up in the band room.
Entry to the Show: Your volunteer badge will get you into the tournament for free. Thank you!
Check-In: Upon arrival, please come to room K-12, the Volunteer Check-In room. K-12 is located behind the administration building. Please allow extra time to park, walk across campus, check in and walk to your post (at least 20 minutes). Adult volunteers and student volunteers have separate check-in lines. You will be given a badge to wear.
Student community service: All student volunteers who wish to receive community service credit must complete a community service form and have your photo taken.
Report: After you check in, report to your post. If possible, find the person you are replacing and let them know you are there. Please stay at your post the entire time for which you signed up.
Hospitality: Refreshments are available for our morning volunteers outside the volunteer check-in room or at the band check-in table outside of the band room. Water is available all day long at those two locations.
